Earl R. Wilson passed away, August 19, 2010 at his home in Wellington, Colo.
He was an accomplished, well known aircraft mechanic, inspector, pilot, consultant and also a free lance writer. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 9529, Wellington Colorado and The Capitol Airlines Association, Annandale, Va. The United States has granted Nigerian Airlines permission to operate direct U.S. flights nearly eight months after a Nigerian youth was arrested for a failed attempt to blast a U.S.-bound airliner.

The FAA plans a $230,000 civil punishment against Continental Airlines since it messed up a nose wheel replacement on a single aircraft.The Federal aviation administration stated Continental did not deploy a washer during the replacement of a nose wheel on a Boeing 767 on Aug. 12, 2008.
